Upon arrival at Delhi International Airport, meet the representative in the arrival lounge with a paging board. Early check-in is subject to availability, and the regular hotel check-in time is 1400 hrs. The journey begins with departure on the scheduled flight and arrival arrangements in Delhi.
Arrive overnight in Delhi, India's capital since 1911 and formerly the imperial capital of the Mughal dynasty. After border formalities, meet the representative and transfer to the hotel, where the room is immediately available. After breakfast, visit Qutub Minar Archaeological Park, including the 72-meter-high 13th-century Tower of Victory. After lunch, explore Old Delhi with Jama Masjid, the lanes of Old Delhi, Gurudwara Seesh Ganj, the spice market, a rickshaw ride through Balli Maran, an outside view of the Red Fort, and Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Early morning, transfer to the railway station with packed breakfast and board the 6:00 a.m. train to Gwalior, arriving at 9:18 a.m. After hotel check-in, the afternoon is dedicated to Gwalior's citadel and Man Singh Fort, built in 1486. The visit includes large 15th-century Jain statues, Hindu temples, a Mughal cenotaph, and the Jaivilas royal palace, part of which houses the Scindia Museum, closed on Mondays. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
After breakfast, transfer to Orchha with a stop at Datia to visit the Datia Royal Palace, built in 1610 by Maharaja Bir Singh. This seven-storey palace features Bundela-style frescoes and blends Mughal and Rajasthani architectural styles. Continue to Orchha and check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, visit the royal palaces on an island in the Betwa River, ancient gardens, important Hindu temples, and the bazaar. Overnight stay in Orchha.
After breakfast, transfer to Jhansi station and board the 10:50 a.m. Shatabdi Express train to Bhopal, arriving at 1:55 p.m. Continue for a 60-km excursion to Sanchi, one of India's greatest Buddhist archaeological sites, flourishing between the 3rd century BC and 4th century AD. Explore the stupas, exceptional sculptures, superb toranas, and remarkable rock temples. After the visit, return to Bhopal and check in at the hotel.
After breakfast, depart for the long drive to Maheshwar. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel, a 17th-century residence overlooking the sacred Narmada River. The Narmada is one of India's seven sacred rivers and is traditionally regarded as the dividing line between Hindustan and the Deccan Plateau. Enjoy full board, relaxation, and individual activities. After breakfast, take a day trip to Mandu, known as the City of Joy. This almost abandoned fortified citadel is known for its fort, gateways, mosques, tombs, and medieval Indian architecture. Mandu flourished between the 15th and 17th centuries and sits dramatically on a plateau in the Vindhya Mountains, surrounded on three sides by a deep gorge. Return to the hotel for lunch, followed by free time, dinner, and overnight stay.
After breakfast, transfer to Indore Airport for an economy flight to Delhi. Lunch is on your own. Upon arrival in Delhi, check in at the hotel. Dinner is on your own and overnight stay in Delhi.
